We've posted our slides in case you want to check them out. The final version of our "Privacy Guide for Using 3rd Party Web-based Technology in Public Post-Secondary Classrooms" should be uploaded to SOL*R later this summer. Cheers, Judy and Pam
I've posted my pp presentation which was Case 2: Using Moodle to Enable Virtual Collaboration & Learning Between Novice & Experienced Teachers. I've also attached an article that I've published on the role of Collaboration. It's a reminder of the characteristics of collaborative practice. I hope it's useful! :) Donna

Hi Everyone We are asking presenters to post their materials in Crowdvine so we can gather/link to materials in one place. Getting a lot of requests about the recorded sessions. We will link to them off this site when they are available...hopefully this week. Thanks! Leva
We welcome feedback on the workshop so please feel free to post a note on what you liked, didn't like or what you'd like to see part of the program next time. We are always seeking ideas for great themes, locations and fun stuff to do in tandem with our PD. (Hey if you want to host the next Spring workshop talk to me and I'll bring forward to Tracy and the Steering Committee.) Cheers Leva

Hi Everyone, At the registration desk we will have a Release form for presenters being webcast and recorded to sign. Jenna Sedmak my colleague at BCcampus will be collecting so if we don't catch you when you check in then we'll gather them from you at your sessions. Participants might want to fill out a release form too. It would be helpful for us especially if you want to share a digital story with us. Attached is the release form if you want to... [read more]
I'm sure slides, etc will be shared. For now here are the 3 questions the panel addressed: 1. Should Technology be used to reinforce the current classroom model, or should it be used for radical change in how teaching and learning are delivered? 2. Should it be a requirement for all faculty and instructors in post-secondary education to have formally accredited training in teaching before they are allowed to teach? And what do senior administrato... [read more]
I will be facilitating a walk in the Finnerty Gardens on the UVic Campus on Monday, June 7th. The last session that day ends at 4:00, so we will meet outside the Village Green (food court) at 4:10 and then walk to the gardens together. Any late comers can catch up to the group in the gardens. Unfortunately, the people who run the gardens will not be able to give us a tour, so we will be self-guided with a brochure to be found at the ETUG registra... [read more]
